Welcome to Presence Therapy with Mordechai Mitnick

I’m at a stage in my life when many occurrences that arise appear as fresh, lively and challenging as if for the first time. This turn of events has charmed, delighted and at times confused me.

What I offer you, as a prospective client/patient, is the possibility of creating a relationship with me that parallels and replicates this aliveness.

When I reflect on my childhood experience, what is most lacking is a sense, other than in crisis situations, of the profound significance of each person in each moment and what is being given and received as sacred exchange.

What I offer and seek to create is a real sense of sacred intimacy, which becomes suffused in conversation, behavior and experience. In subtle and profound ways, our conversation and our relationship are intended to form the basis for a new paradigm of relatedness to self and others.

My welcome to you, therefore, is an invitation to join me, if this is what calls you, to engage in a conversation which will probably alter the way you view yourself and the world you occupy.

That became perhaps the most pivotal point in the landscape of my life–
that dance with despair:
to see how we are called to not run from the discomfort
and not run from the grief or the feelings of outrage or even fear.
If we can be fearless, and be with our pain, it turns.
It doesn’t stay static.
It only doesn’t change if we refuse to look at it.
When we look at it, when we take it in our hands,
when we can just be with it and keep breathing, then it turns.
It turns to reveal its other face.
And the other face of our pain for the world is our love for the world,
our absolutely inseparable connectedness with all life.
