In Transpersonal Psychology, the relationship between client and therapist becomes a joint effort of understanding the issues at hand, while also addressing larger and deeper themes that make up the context within which the issues manifest.
When I recognized that traditional western psychology was limited in addressing the deeper human issues of suffering and pain, I gradually adapted a transpersonal perspective, which is a blend of psychology and universal spirituality.
My focus is with people who have already achieved a degree of self-awareness which enables us to work together toward ever deeper and richer levels of understanding and healing. My work is with people in pain; people in transition whether it be divorce, aging, spiritual crisis, loss, grief, trauma or separation from the core self.
Treating the whole person means being a whole person. You cannot expect therapy to work if the therapist leaves most of him or herself in another room. My approach is to be as present with my clients as possible. I bring my whole self to our sessions, experiencing both you and myself directly. This enables you to be with me in the same way.
Directly embracing your pain will allow you to transcend the hurt. We create our reality from the inside out, based on what we and our parents have been taught at an early age. If we are willing to entertain the possibility that life may offer something different, we may discover new strength, ease and openness to the world around us.
Testimonials
"I feel a lot of gratitude to know Mordechai. He has an
incredible awareness of the deeper truth of life which
naturally reveals his heartfelt caring. Through his own introspection, he understands the human conditioning and
what it takes to be free from this conditioning.
He safely and insightfully can be present for this unfolding to occur." Zeida Rothman
